These guys will claim that they are trying to close your file if you have had a car accident but all they are doing is phishing for more personal details. Told them I was speaking to my solicitors about them which hopefully will prevent further calls. They do not really help their cause for if you ring the number back an automated message says that it was a marketing call and you will be contacted again later. Idiots.

Crank calls using IVR technology telling me my internet connection is compromised and asking me to pres an option to speak to someone. This shows as owned by a Gernal marketing company but this may be spoofed.
Call received 14/8/19 claiming I d won some sort of promotion. Terminated call.

Very well spoken male gave his name as Christian informed me my washing machine insurence had expired and he was calling with regard to me renewing it. I was suspicious of this and asked the name of his company which he informed me was White Goods UK. As I have never heard of them I asked which washing machine and he said theBosch. As mine is a Hotpoint I knew he was a scam or fraud. He then tried banter before resulting to cheek when the word police was mentioned I hung up before he could get offensive

SCAM, just got a call from this mobile number claiming it was the HRMC calling - automated of course, saying that a fraudulent claim had been put against my name and I have to press 1 to get connected as other wise I will be arrested shortly! I subscribe to The Economist, and renewed my subscription very late this year, a few days after the expiry. I finally picked up this call after several days and they said they wanted to know if I would renew my Economist subscription. I said that I already had, and they said "Oh, let me check my new system. Oh yes, you have, that s ok then." and that was all. A little odd, but seems like the Economist gives them the opportunity to salvage some lapsed subscriptions.
