Be aware if this number calls, it is for a shared costs, so better not to call back. I was almost caught completely with this scam. I have been having problems with my internet speeds recently so believed them. Stupidly I did some of the things they asked me to check the speeds. Got suspicious when they asked me to submit me internet details in order to get the compensation that they claim I was owed. Also my mouse pointer started moving of own accord, which gave suspicion that they had control of my computer. I have changed some passwords as a precaution but thankfully they were not succes

Guy calls saying I qualify for a refund due to a prior overpayment and that he can help me claim it. I ask where he s calling from, he says "consumer services". Starts asking for my banking details and I have to interrupt him again to ask what company the "consumer services" relates to. He answers with Reactiv Media and the continues badgering me for bank details. I stop him to say I don t recognise the name of the company and if he could remind me what service I purchased from them. He hung up.
