I received a call from this number claiming to be calling from a company (don t remember the name of the company) and is calling in relation to an enquiry that I had made online and asked me to confirm DOB and my address for security purposes. These people want you to answer consumer questions about household goods so they can sell your information to third parties for the purpose of sales. Just don t answer if you ve any sense.

I answered today and said the same thing - so checked what information they had on my address etc, and have the correct address, have asked for the information, and will check it out when I receive it. I asked where they had obtained my information from and he said from an online form I had completed, and as I have recently, this would seem feasible, as the databases are available to purchase in the telemarketing world.
