It s quite easy to negate these types of calls by getting yourself a Call Line Identity phone. If the call doesn t display the name of someone in your tel address book, or shows number withheld, or out of area, or International let the answer machine do the work. Called at 0820, ignored it as not a number I recognise, no message left.

Received missed call this morning and voice mail message, I rang number back and got an engaged tone,most likely telesales agent who forgot to withhold their number.

I keep receiving calls from this number despite blocking it - they sometimes phone up to five times a day! They always ask for Andrew, the idiot who must have mistyped his mobile number when downloading a report or who knows what from this "financial" crowd. I ve asked them politely to remove my number from their database ... to no avail. I ve said I m going to report them to the police if they keep calling me, which usually makes them put down the phone if I don t beat them to it!

Getting repeted calls upto three times a day all trying to tell me im entitled to ppi. Ive been patient, silent, rude but nothing seems to deter these people. Really think they should stop wasting their money on repeatedly calling the same number to get the same answer. Think next time I answer the phone ill answer it as department of internal fraud and see if that makes a difference. Im ex directory and am still puzzeled as to how they know my name.
