An answering machine voice saying this call was from HMRC and there is a tax fraud case against me and to press 1 to speak to an advisor, and if I don't do then I will get arrested. Ha HA
Rang my mother . Knew all her details. Pretended to be British Gas and said if she paid 199.99 now she would save money. They even knew her BG home service plan was up for renewal soon. He was so polite and convincing, she gave her bank card details. Luckily Nationwide have done a visa dispute and refunded her. We have phoned trading standards, British gas . Written a cancellation letter to so called company. This needs to go to Watchdog.

The lady basically said that my fibre-glass wool loft insulation is no longer valid and they in my area tomorrow doing surveys in the neighbouring roads. Got a call from this number saying they are from HMRC and I have criminal record for outstanding tax payments. They said if I don’t pay today over the phone a warrant will be out for my arrest. Tried calling the number back and It says service closed with a dial tone. Sounds like a scam to me. Please be aware.
SCAM it was an automatic bank calling me to let me know that a couple of services that I have never used (actually use them both on a regular basis) had charged £400 and £200 to my card 1 to allow, 2 to cancel etc
