I didn't. Hung up, dialled 1471 and Googled the number, which brought me here. Bit scary, until I realised it's a scam.

Claimed to be from Tesco. Asked to confirm postcode and that my age was between 25-65. Didn't confirm anything. When I asked how he had my information he said it was on the Tesco database. Challenged this and told him that I would be pursuing Tesco through the the Information Commissioner as they were in breach of the General Data Protection Regulations.....very quickly hung up on me!! said it was about PPI. stated that all calls were recorded to improve customer service and training, then said that he needed to confirm my house number (he had my postcode) so that they could send a pack.
