SCAM. Very very noisy background. Sounded like Indian call centre with 100s of people nearby. During a pandemic!? Claimed to be BT Openreach checking service. Asked me how many lights flashing on box. I asked where lights would be. Vague response. He asked me to check back. My router doesn’t even have lights on back. Kept telling me to ‘switch off’. Switch what off!? Asked him to confirm customer name. He hung up.

28 Oct 2021 - Thick sub continent accent called himself Kevin and was asking about loans and credit cards. Claimed he was from a debt solutions agency. Kept him talking for about ten mins feeding him misinformation and asking him about his fav songs and told him I was gonna get concrete socks from a loan shark if he didn’t help me today. Arrived within email - “thedomainbureau.co.uk” Very suspect email.. looks like a domain renewal scam .. fake invoices for real domain renewals. I phoned the number - said they were a Utility discount company or words to the effect that they give quotes for cheaper utilities.. the woman answering did not recongnise “domain bureau” - which suggests what? Either folk at that business are running (multiple) scams, or denial is how they avoid people confronting them.. “plausible denialbilty”

Fraudulent call centre(could hear this in the background) saying I had been victim of a fraud on my Amazon account which had had £1200 charged go the credit card linked to the account. Wanted me to push 1 or 2 etc to deal with the issue. I hung up but someone else may be duped by this type of con. Very angry that they can do this all the time.

Automated call stating that £300 & £1,100 had been taken from my card. “Press 1 to cancel”. I pressed 1 to try and find out who was calling. Was told by a guy with a foreign accent that the call was from London Paddington. He asked the reason for my call and then asked for my full name. At that point I put down the phone and registered this number. Obviously this was a fraudulent call.

SCAM. There is no such thing as a Covid Pass. I nearly fell for it. The first thing they ask for is your GP’s post code. That made me take a 2nd look at it. Then they asked for my name date of birth address etc. I completed my mums Covid booster online form and it wasn’t like this so I pulled myself together and deleted everything and looked at the number which was a mobile. The NHS don’t send anything by text on a mobile number like that. Dangerous SCAM.

Scam - recorded message says from HMRC & that there is a fraud case recorded in your name & to press 1 to speak to officer in case.
This is debt collectors calling me for a female who lived in my house before I bought it. They call usually twice a day 5 days a week. They will not listen, so the call does now not get answered, bad mannered Scots who look like they are looking for an argument. I gave them the last known address for the female they are looking for but they were only interested in shouting me down.
SCAM robo call saying that there has been possible fraudulent activity on my bank account. When I questioned them they refused to say what bank they were, and that they were the 'fraud department'. They got angry so I called them out as the scammer they are and according to the scammer all UK people are idiots. Have reported it to action fraud.

Scam HMRC tax rebate due to Covid. HMRC do not have my phone number so quite obvious. Avoid anything referring to Covid unless you know for absolute certain it is genuine. Also, remember Covid jabs are FREE. Dump anything that appears to ask for payment or similar details.
