The criminals started early today, making this call om an invented number at just after 8 a.m. Nobody spoke but they did not have to. Responding to these calls - which of late have consisted of recorded messages saying ny broadband is going to be disconnected - would be dangerous.

SCAM/SPAM. I was called on the 26/08/20 by this number. The caller said they were from SKY (my TV, telephone and broadband provider). He informed me that he was ringing to test my modem and improve its performance. He asked me to type a few commands which included the word “SKY”. He then asked me to permit remote access. Have had four calls from this number now. First time I actually answered most of the questions. Asian sounding man wanted to know my first name which I declined to give him and hung up. Not 30 seconds later I got another call from him, so I put the answerphone on. As soon as the answerphone kicked in he hung up and called back straight away.
