A woman introduced herself and wierd sounding company name. I asked who and what they wanted, but she didn't seem able to tell me. Was outside on mobile and kept going silent, then repeating earlier intro. In the end she said, "Shall I take you off our list?"

They called me a few moments ago and, wwhen I asked where they got my number, they became rude and evasive so I hung up. An Indian sounding woman rang straight back demanding to know why I "Cut the call". We had a row and I hung up again. Believe it or not, she rang straight back again. I became quite blunt at this stage, eventually telling her to, and I'll put this euphemistically, "go forth and multiply". She lied when we argued, saying I had volunteered my number (I am ex-directory),

Advised that he is based in Dakar, Bangladesh and that they use an automatic dialler with my telephone number being obtained from an opt-in database. Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 20328750xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with fake money grants, but also accident claims - insurance marketing and financial services. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...

Crazy scam with an Asian guy trying to bamboozle me with tech-speak. Told me my ip address had been made public and should be switched back to private. I asked him to confirm my IP address 'so I could be sure we were talking about the same connection'. He said no one had my IP address. I asked him for a phone number to call back on and he hung up. Total scam - I don't even have BT broadband.
