If you use an insurance comparison site, they will pass your number on to The Claims Guys, who will pester you with calls about reclaiming PPI payments. Use this number on the comparison site to give them a taste of their own medicine, and prevent them from ringing you.

I ve received 3 calls from these idiots - two I failed to answer but after reading posts on sites like this decided, for my own amusement, to answer on the third call. The chap on the other end rambled on about insurance and said he was from a company called Red Star. When I asked who Red Star were he got quite abrupt/aggressive. This number calls me pretty much every day. I've got no PPI claims and I'm not due a refund so don't answer.

Rang me and asking for national insurance numbers, music in background claiming to be hmrc, scammers put the phone down.

These people have been calling me for weeks. I have told them that I am not the person they are asking for "Mrs Humphries" and asked them numerous times to take me off their list but still they call. As soon s they realise I am not the person they want they disconnect sometimes whilst I am mid sentence. Infuriating!

Just received call from this number. Didn t answer and no message left. I rang 1471 and obtained number and rang it three times and it was a dead line.

PPI/Bank Charges claim company. Latest one is Endowment Policies. Aside from just hanging up, I find the best course of action with these guys is to just lie to them. Give them made-up details so they waste their time with fruitless nonsense. Tell them you paid PPI on a Swiss bank account with ?10m in funds given to you by a Nigerian prince. Keep calm and tell absurd lies, and this kind of call actually starts to be a lot of fun!

This number comes from a agency in London working on behalf of the times newspaper. If you answer them tell them you want their registered address so you can bill them ?10 per minute, that ll get rid of them, but if the do recall then send them a invoice sent as tracked, and they have to pay you if you pursue to a small debt court. That should get rid of them once and for all. Local Police also informed
