oh my lord will not stop ..they will also try with end digits change ..ive told them stop calling ..to no avail ..everyday they call right up til 7 in eve ..shame we cant report these pests

SCAM Pretending to be HMRC

I was almost caught completely with this scam. I have been having problems with my internet speeds recently so believed them. Stupidly I did some of the things they asked me to check the speeds. Got suspicious when they asked me to submit me internet details in order to get the compensation that they claim I was owed. Also my mouse pointer started moving of own accord, which gave suspicion that they had control of my computer. I have changed some passwords as a precaution but thankfully they were not succes

SCAM

SCAM. There is no such thing as a Covid Pass. I nearly fell for it. The first thing they ask for is your GP’s post code. That made me take a 2nd look at it. Then they asked for my name date of birth address etc. I completed my mums Covid booster online form and it wasn’t like this so I pulled myself together and deleted everything and looked at the number which was a mobile. The NHS don’t send anything by text on a mobile number like that. Dangerous SCAM.

keeps calling I don't answer

Cannot get rid of this company. Its regarding PAT testing. Had to put the phone down on them a couple of times because they will not take no for an answer.

Claimed to be HSBC (not even with them) suggested tax fraud somehow related to me, and that not following their instructions would lead to my arrest. Clearly fraudulent.

Do not accept

Unwanted call, rings you, holds on for a few seconds and just hangs up. Called it back as curious and immediately put on hold. Hold music is default for an Asterisk / FreePBX based phone system and whoever called are using it to send out auto-dialer calls - reported to TPS.

I answered the phone. I spoke 3 times but they stayed quiet. I'm not willing to stay on the line only for those to get into my phone.

SCAM. Claims to be from HMRC and that a fraud investigation has been opened against my name. I didn't listen to the whole massage.

Nuisance call. Telling you you have a chance of winning a prize. They then call you back in 24 hours

Didn't answer call to my mobile as was busy at work. Now added to blocked numbers list. It's about time someone did something about these people. TPS/Ofcom seem uninterested or toothless. Maybe I'll start a petition.

Indian man on phone said he wanted to talk about my computer ! My answer no thanks!
