Automated call stating that £300 & £1,100 had been taken from my card. “Press 1 to cancel”. I pressed 1 to try and find out who was calling. Was told by a guy with a foreign accent that the call was from London Paddington. He asked the reason for my call and then asked for my full name. At that point I put down the phone and registered this number. Obviously this was a fraudulent call.
Twice in last two days I picked up the phone to hear Goodbye and phone went dead

SCAM says its from Royal Mail and to use the link to pay 1.99 for redelivery. 1. Royal Mail don’t use mobiles that I know of. 2. No card was left about mystery parcel. 3. Why would it come from Manchester. Beware don’t use link.

These guys have been onto me too, claiming i owe them, CSG for some child safety booklets - i sent a reply to their email with links to this and many other pages which they conveniently have not received . Caller tried to tell me they HMRC and that I owed tax. In the end I told them I would go directly to HMRC
Caller claimed she was from BT and that other people were using my internet line. She wanted me to test something using my computer. She knew one of my email addresses, but not the one provided by BT. She gave daft or evasive answers to my questions. This appears to be a scam with the aim of getting me to provide personal details or perhaps remote access to my computer.
