This company uses various combinations of telephone number. I just let the answer phone kick in. If I recognise the voice I then answer, can have 6 -10 of this type of call a day. I do 1471 and keep a note of all the numbers and then check them out on Google.
I was contacted by these people and when I pointed out that my number was registered with the TPS I was told this it was not a sales call but an advisory call! I have made a written complaint pointing out that they are breaking the Claims Management Regulation rules and that I will be reporting them to the Regulator. I have also reported them to the ICO.
SCAM / SPAM Received this call on my mobile. Apparently (according to the recorded message) there is a warrant registered with HMRC against my name for fraud, and if I don't press 1 to connect to an operator, I will be arrested shortly. Hahah! Come and get me then ...
Just received a call from this number now. A guy called James was the caller and said he was calling on behalf of my bank as I had apparently been in contact with them, which I haven t and he had my name also. It sounded like he was giggling and chuckling whilst he was reading out his spiel so I hung up. Will be keeping an eye out for this number calling again so I won t pick up.
