Guy asked for me by name, said he was calling from Aviva about a life insurance enquiry or something I apparently made. Knew one of my email addresses plus my previous home address (haven't lived there for over a year). I've never contacted Aviva (double checked my emails to make sure afterwards), don't have life insurance, told him I didn't know what he was talking about. He just apologised & said he'd take me off their list then hung up before I could ask any questions. No idea where he got my inf

He was wanting to start feeding me more information about Dyson after already mentioning I do not own one. Was there any sense in that? I had to then again remind him that due to me not actually owning one, then I am no use to him. I presume he couldn t end the call and was waiting for me to let him go. Automated voice claiming to be from HMRC, informing of a tax fraud case and legal action. Gave absolutely no evidence. HMRC don't use automated calls for this.
SCAM This number is actually owned by a legitimate person who has nothing to do with the automated calls received, pertaining to be from Amazon. They have stolen the number and are using it to scam people for their credit card details. I believe they have now found a way to generate random numbers that will show up on your call display, yet are not from the sender.
Called claiming to be from Claims Advice Centre regarding an accident I had been involved in. Very rude and aggressive when I pressed on which particular company they were with as that was not one I knew and had been involved with. Eventually when they sensed I was not going to disclose any details he told me he was finishing the phone call :-)
