My parents, both in their 80 s, have been receiving calls from this number. Often early in the morning and in close succession, there is silence, giggling, but no communication - very disconcerting for them. Since neither of them are in great physical form, it is extremely worrying that these nuisance calls are causing them great discomfort. What can be done about it?

I answered the phone and was about to hang up after a long silence when an Asian lady asked to speak to me. When I asked her what she wanted, she replied that she wanted me to stop speaking.
