A scam at 8:02 in the morning. Automated call claimed to be my internet provider (did not say which one) and that due to illegal activity on my line would close my link in the next 24 to 48 hours unless I pressed 1 on the phone keypad (which I declined to do). I did not respond but left line open until caller ended the call.
Said he was calling from the "Calling Blocking Dept" and ha stopped cold callers on my phone!Yeah right! Scammers!

And I think theca centre staff might actually believe that are being employed by Virgin. Kept calling frequently and hanging up or dead line upon answer - finally got a female asking to speak with DH about previous Boxing news subscription and he wasn t interested. She says "well I ll call back" before I could pleasantly tell her to remove the number she hung up. Still keep ringing and Sky scandalously want to charge £3.50 per month to bar it. Saw another user s helpful comment to change the call ID so we know to ignore it, so thanks for that bit of advice.
