This is an intruder monitoring service. Not a hoax caller but they inform you of break ins etc. if you are a key holder for a business.

Call on a daily basis but don t answer when you pick up.

Received automated call after attempting to make a payment with my card which was refused. Automated voicemail left this number to call. This number is for the Fraud line call centre in Sunderland. I was wary at first about giving details and voiced this but service advisor said if worried not legit to call number on the back of my card and will be put through to them (not pressured into giving any security info at all). I don't know who this was as I did not answer the call.

There is no simple way of verifying mobile numbers, many of them are unregistered on pay as you go tariffs. You will have to contact your customer and ask him to confirm his name.

These crooks are called Ascend Finance and are buying local numbers so that you are duped into answering their call. Do not answer and report them to OFCOM.

Forgot to say, if you wait till end of call then press 5 you ll get to talk to a human. Then have funtime! Remember...anything goes:D
