They call several times a day claiming that I have a PPI refund due. I ve never had PPI EVER. When I said this she tried to say it had been added without my say so and they could get it back. I asked what particular account they were refering to and when it was taken out and she hung up! Complete scam and harrassment as even after I told her once to piss off and stop calling she rang back and asked why I d hung up!

This is a telemarketer who called using an automated dialler which means that the sales team are not making the calls, a computer is, once getting through to the customer (me in this case) the call is then put through to the Sales Operator who then tried to push his sales pitch. This failed on me who is aware of stupid auto diallers. If there is ever a pause before they answer it means it is one of those stupid autodiallers that trys to make companys as much profit as it can. Apparently as soon as you answe

It was my employer Asda phoning me to do overtime. Asda has a new telephone system now which the local store phone number comes up as Asda House @Leeds.

I have been called 3 times by this number over the last 2 weeks - often at highly inconvenient meal times. It appears to be cold calling fund raising drive linked with University of Birmingham (I am an alumnus). Very annoying and puts me off ever donating any dosh to the University (even if I had some to spare! I would like this to stop.
