Scammer claiming to be from O2, offering to reduce my bill by 30%. Didn't confirm my name, if it matches the account holder name, or any account details besides the phone number (which they'd just called, so duh...). Just started asking for the verification code they send you by text when accessing your account. The one where the message specifically states not to give the code to anyone, even people claiming to be O2 staff... Probably not calling from Edinburgh either, probably a spoofed number.

I had a phone call from 02922229992 clalming to be Eon, who asked if I wanted a 'Smart meter', they wanted my account details.... RED FLAG!!!!! Eon SHOULD have my account details - well, they certainly had my phone number. I contacted Eon and they told me to block the number it wan't them....! To be hones't I wondered if this was some dirty trick Eon had dreamed up - how would THEY know I had no Smart meter..... and how did they get my phone number, no prizes for guessing sorry. I'm based in Queensland, Australia. These people have attempted to contact me on numerous occasions & are SCAMMERS/FRAUDSTERS claiming to be from the FINANCIAL CENTRE, a platform where Bitcoin is traded. They Stole approximately $50,000AUD from & there dodgy schemes & investments, they also stole in excess of $100,000 from a friend of mine. If anyone knows of these turkeys, please advise & i'll be happy to fly to London & destroy them.

Second, robot claiming to be HMRC invoking legal action and to press one to contact an officer. I ignored the call and checked my HMRC account: nothing was wrong. Third time, same shit, just blocked and ignored it.
