Caller rang and said his name was David Parker, he had a very heavy Asian accent and sounded like he was in a call centre. He claimed to be from BT and said our broadband connection was insecure. When I asked for a contact number he gave me the number 02032898768. I rang this number and it rang several times then cut off. I realised it was a scam and thought nothing more of it. Then around 4 hours later he phoned again and said had I rang the number as he had been waiting for my call as it was important

I am getting several calls a day from this company. I keep telling them to remove my number but an hour later I get another call and they insist they have not called me before !! What do you have to do to stop these people. I have tried being rude (not offensive - just rude), putting the phone down on them, threatening to report them, but all to no avail. I love it when they say they are "Fred" or "Mary" or similar, and you know that they are not.

Asian caller who said it was Adam from Open Reach and there was a problem with my internet and my connection would be lost in 4 hours. He said I needed to turn on a computer or laptop so he could sort the problem out. I told him my laptop needed charging up and he said he would call back in half an hour. He called back but we did not answer and he then tried every 2-3 minutes, ringing approx 15 to 20 times. Called from this number from a company called Environ. Offering free vouchers but then wanting to know details about energy usage. When questioned admitted being linked to a company called Environsolar based in Chelmsford. Became very apologetic when told I was registered with the TPS and was going to reprt them.
