Had this man call me, telling me iv got dept ,and asking for my home address and how I pay my dept and they be collecting it . I know iv got no dept and also he called me by my fake Facebook name ! I used my fake Facebook name a few days before to fill out a on line survey to win an iPhone . So I recon it's a con and they come and collect dept you to others .
This number called me as they'd been referred to me by the AA due to a cracked windscreen.
Sounded like a call centre in the background. Male voice began "Can I ......." then paused, before disconnecting the call.

Automatic message - female voice - claiming to be HMRC who had been "trying to contact me", saying that they are filing a case against me, and asking me to press 1 to speak to my case officer. I didn't. Hung up, dialled 1471 and Googled the number, which brought me here. Bit scary, until I realised it's a scam.

Suddenly started getting calls from this number, sometimes twice a day. They sent me a text message saying from Mackenzie Hall and asking me to text back quoting an account number which they gave me. I ve never answered calls or text, never had a debt other than a mortgage (now paid off) and had new mobile number within last 3 months so how have they got my number and why are they bothering me!
They called to say my PPI claim has been authorised. What is frightening is they had my date of birth and postal address. So does sound legit.I'm a bit concerned as to what they are capable of.
