Got a call from this number today, they knew me by name and when i asked how they got my number the person said i must have signed up for something regarding car finance, i told them i had never signed up for finance online. I politely asked them not to call again.

Received call at 8.35 am on a Saturday when I was still asleep. No sound at other end when I answered. I have now blocked the number on my phone having read this site. Further Private call at 09.15. Well this is some landline from Manchester area, I couldn't find any info for this specific number, but there are two facts : people do search for this number which can be seen from different similar pages, and there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated, all the same 016176801xx) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. Probably calling with different offers for different comapnies, but for sure some general call centre. People did someone answer it?
