Fraud, claiming my national insurance number has been compromised or something along the lines. It's a robotic female voice, not an actual caller. Don't trust them, if something like that happens, HMRC would send you a letter, maybe an ufficial email, not call you from a private phone number!

I was contacted regarding a Sapphire Magazine subscription following completion of a survey. This number, based in Cardiff. Very plausible female. I foolishly gave them my debit card number. I realised later thus could be a scam and surfed the Internet and confirmed my suspicions! See Money Supermarket threads. I cancelled the bank card immediately. So I’m cancelling my contract with PLUSNET. Internet/ WiFi is shocking anyway. AVOID THEM AND THIS NUMBER.

This number seems to be used by some call centre - I can see very similar numbers reported, all the same range just with last digits different. A common thing - telemarketing mostly uses a range of similar numbers. This one is mostly reported with PPI, insurance marketing, RTA - accident chasers, sometimes called themselves "First Call Group" - just another big call centre. Just block it or block the range, I have been using the mobile application from these pages, works fine, no problems. Blocked

Another call from The People s Opinion representing the leading brands etc. London number but it s not: "Paul Connor" who in common with all his colleagues, had a heavy Asian accent, admitted that he was calling from South East Asia. As usual I asked for my number to be deleted from their calling database. I stand a better chance of meeting the Pope or the Queen for tea.

As others have said spam caller, I would block it but they have a whole batch of numbers beginning 020389698** the last 2 digits change daily. My phone is registered on TPS but they still call so breaking the law doesn't bother them.I just reject all numbers that pop up from 0203 now
