Called me about an accident I may have had 2.5 years ago ( I hadn t) and my insurers had given my number. They told me my insurers were BIMA (they aren t).

SCAM This number sends a text pretending to be from The HALIFAX and saying that a new payee has been added to your account, "if this was not you please visit ...." and a website url. The website is VERY genuine looking but its NOT HALIFAX and is a phishing site asking you to log in to your account. DO NOT TOUCH !!!
Phoned claiming to be from Inland revenue saying there was a tax investigation against me.
01986684739 Caller (Paul Smith) with a very strong indian accent, claimed to be from Virgin Media technical team - did not do any security. Asked me what colour light was on WiFi box. I asked him why no security? He said he was regulated by OFCOM and not allowed to take any personal details. He claimed to have my service record number, all his calls are recorded, the call would not cost me anything and was calling to help me with issues with my internet that have flagged up on their system and malware.
