I got a text from what looked like my bank (Santander), saying a lot of money was being taken from my account. It gave this number 03333443057 to call. I called, and they answered HSBC ! I said I thought I was calling Santander, they said I work for both banks (yeah, right!). I said let me have your name and department, I ll call my bank and ask to be put through to you, at which point they promptly hung up.

One of many unknown calls I ve got this week, strange I m in turkey and recieve them. Not falling for it.
Dropped what I was doing & raced downstairs to answer persistent call. Man with an unidentifiable accent garbled something against a cacophony of background noise sounding like the Call Centre from Hell. I asked him to repeat his sentence. He said " can I speak to the owner of the business?" Puzzled, I said " business?" At which point he rudely disconnected the call. Called me and asked to speak to [my name]. I asked who they were, gave company name. Started trying to small talk with me so I asked the reason for the call. He then said "We re calling because of some information we ve been pass-" and then he hung up on me. Presumably he knew I couldn t be fleeced!

Unanswered call to Australian mobile, UK country prefix and no message left. Search shows Mansfield, Victoria Australia. This is not an Australian number or format. Call logged 8 Sep. SInce May-21 there has been a consistent 2 calls per week with UK country code prefix each from a different number. Suspected scam.
Moved on from oven cleaning, dyson and now onto carpet cleaning.. keep calling nearly every day.

This was Tesco home delivery calling me to rearrange delivery slot.
Bogus and false calls to do with fictitious transactions on a 'card' are eminating from this number. The phone number is being used by criminals. Beware!

Mistakenly answered - it simply clicked off - presumably adding our number to endless harrassers' databases. Luckily, another call I'd missed is also now continually dialling dailly (despite answering), so I can safely (once more) ignore them all. I remember when the phone used to be a means of communication, rather than intrusion - targeting the most vulnerable. This one's probably dangerous.
