I got an automated call from this numer telling me I was accused of tax fraud and if I didn't press 1, a warrant would be issued and I would e arrested shortly. I think we can safely say this is a scam.
1st time it rang 4 times and hung up before I managed to answer it. Second time I answered it, but it was silent for about 15 seconds and then hung up. I believe it is an unsolicited call as I don't recognise the number or the area Brigend

This number rang today at 08:45am. I work shifts so was very annoyed at being woken up and answering the phone only to find out it was one of these scam calls. Put the phone down on them immediately.
A man spoke with strong oriental accent, he knew some my data and tried to get more. Was cut off, tried to call myself. Network answered a number was nonexistent. Blocked. That happened around a year ago.
Called my workplace and asked to speak to someone regarding our meter reading, claiming to be from British Gas. Handed them to relevant person, they then asked the relevant person to send across details of our meter (i.e. meter number) luckily relevant person had spoken to legitimate british gas over email and had already sorted this out. Relevant person came back to me and said that it was a fraudulent call and they were attempting to get our meter details. FRAUD!!
