SCAM Third Chelmsford number blocked today. They hung up when I answered but upon dialling the number displayed, was met with automated message saying CB Brokers or CD Brokers. Suspect it's the same scumbags who have been scamming my elderly mother for a number of years by signing her up for appliance insurance for appliances she doesn't own. SCAM it was a automated message in a american accent voice that claimed it was from hmrc and it tries to fear you into thinking your in trouble and it wants you to press 1 to contact a officer which more than likely you probably shouldnt do, hang up and block them instead.

Number not known to me, since it has been searched 69 times I assume this is marketing or such like. My opinion is cold calling and unwanted by me so a nuisance.

This number is from a batch of similar numbers: 07488871686. 07488871703. 07488871758, 07488871735, 07488871757, 07488871649, 07488871624, 07488871560, 07488871705. Many have been missed calls and the rest I let ring out. I rang back and they all have had an answering machine with the same female voice putting me in a queue and at no point saying who they are. Whoever they are, they have the ability to have or create many numbers. They get blocked and move onto another number and call back.
Didn't answer. Looked it and and over a dozen reports of various scam attempts including pretending to be HMRC.

It sounded like an automatic voice, I think. It was definitely more than one voice and it didn't seem like a live person talking with me.
The caller ID showed metro dry cleaners but the caller said they were from carphone warehouse calling about a 'special promotion'. He said he got my number 'from the database'. Hung up and googled the number, possibly a scam using a legitimate business number

14th Feb 2024 at 1148 - Call claiming that our loft insulation was reaching the end of its warranty life (20 years) and they would like to inspect it - when I told the man that the house was not built 20 years ago and that we did not have a loft, the man rang off immediately.

I had a call this afternoon apparently from this number 08000234567, which I know is the number of the Financial Ombudsman's Office, when the caller said he was from the fraud dept of my bank. I had called the Financial Ombudsman earlier in the day on that number. It did not feel right and when I challenged the caller he put down the phone. Somebody may be able to pick up the numbers of those who have called the FOO? I will tell the FOO by email as their phone system takes too long to get through!

This no is from someone providing loans and they say that you have cleared all checks and you have 100% been accepted for the loan you just need to pay £41 to make it a secured loan this is so they can see that they can afford the repayments but another company would only take a £1 to confirm your card is yours and working then they give u it back if what they say is what it's for a copy of your bank statement would be more than sufficient not and the caller id no is false SCAM
