Called twice today. Answered 2nd call - "Mike (Punjabi) Smith", from 'BT'. Foreign person using my IP address for illegal purposes - would need to disconnect my internet for 5 days. Told me to hit CTRL+R and Windows key and enter something. I played along (doing NOTHING on my laptop, but then asked him, "You say this is coming from my IP address - then you can tell me what it is!?". He gave me a random number from hos head, I guess. We have been charged by BT 7 times since January. I contacted BT in April, who insisted we made the calls. We don t know who this persons is, have never called them. Eventually they said they would take it up with Complaints. Nothing heard. Our latest BT bill shows two payments for this number - about to complain yet again. Is it significant that the calls are always 24p.
