Call from a SCAM gardening & landscaping firm (Tree & Landscaping Services) who send round a team (family members) who will not go away until paid large sums of money. My mother paid them over £600 for about an hour with a chainsaw cutting down healthy trees. They demanded payment in cash & took her to a bank to collect that. Definitely spam. Claimed to be Amazon about a purchase valued at £790. I have NOT made such a purchase and I did NOT press 1 to speak to an Amazon representative.
I have BT guardian which asks callers to announce who they are before I answer. Most sales calls hang up at that point, this one didn't. Lovely lady explained that I could have a half hour appointment to check energy efficiency of my home and advise of any improvements. I made the appointment. Very polite young man called Adam arrived, checked the loft and roof, looked around, discussed my energy payment per month. The information given was useful, nothing to sign, no sales pitch. I would have no worries.

SCAM They sent a text message pretending to be my bank and asking me to answer Y/N to a large payment I didn't make.
Message left on my phone from this number regarding setting up a new card and if I hadnt asked for a card to be set up to press a keyI just hung up I then called Bank of Scotland and they confirmed that the number isnt related to them or any of their related businessesits a scam number
