They are an opportunistic company who work to convert an 'unproductive' vehicle insurance claim into commission for themselves and a payment for you. They do so on the premise that the solicitors retained by the insurance company are working for the company rather than the insured, ergo they will settle quickly and not necessarily in the insureds favour. My second call this morning from an 01257 number - different ones - both claiming to be a banking service who have detected suspicious activity on my account. They are both automated messages with the same female voice and both claim withdrawals from my (unspecified) account from the same places (Amazon and overseas) but quote different amounts. 01257 is my local dial code, which I suspect is meant to lend credibility to the call. It asked to preess 1 to delete or 2 to connect to an operative. I hung up

Been getting lots of calls from 01723 656xxx. The xxx is different in many cases but the calls are all the same trying to get you to give over details of your energy bill and getting shirty when you don't. They illegally refuse to take details off their database.

Answered call from this number and it was a recorded message advising my BT internet connection was to be disconnected today. Not even a BT customer. Did online checks of number and one site claims call is from Australia!! The number is now blocked. Scammers becoming a real pain.
