He said there seems to be some fraudulant activity on my account and I should move all my money into the main account and then he would change all my account numbers and sort codes He sent messages from 08000 123 123 and he confirmed Santander will always use this number as it uses the 123 from their 123 account. Remember: Your bank will never ask you to move money!

Said that the latest Windows update had downloaded incorrectly meaning that people could access my computer and so could I please get my computer out for them to talk me through what to do. I've heard of this scam where they will pretend to help but really talk you through downloading something which will allow them to access your computer. I blocked the number when the call ended. just received a letter from the DWP requesting bank details so they can pay my pension into it instead of the post office.if this is a scam, it's a b****y clever, very convincing one. it was accompanied by a letter in the same post from the post office telling me I could close my card account with them free of penalty, though it's not the type of a/c that incurs penalties. the letter even quotes my national insurance number at the top. very clever of two big organisations to hit the same postal delivery tog
