Ive had letters and emails claiming to be from both my home insurance supplier and my car insurance provider, requesting that i call this number to discuss serious issues with my accounts. However the email from my home insurance provider indicates that i had a car insurance policy with them. Im also a paperless customer and use the customer logon area to administrate my accounts. 'Jane calling from British Gas' (yeah, right!). She asked if I was Mrs (my wife), then was I still using British gas or Southern Electric. 'No'.'Do you have E.on or (another)?' 'No - why do you want to know?' She asked what I had said and when I repeated it she hung up. Obviously their script doesn't run to answering that question!
