The caller was a man with a foreign accent. He started to tell me he was calling about my computer but I decided it was a scam, told him I wasn t interested, hung up and blocked the number. I do not generally answer numbers that I do not recognise but as it was 08.30, I thought it could be somthing important.

Fraud The friendly female operator claimed I had agreed to sponsor a school anti bullying campaign last February 2020, and they were calling to ask which schools I wanted the booklets to go into. I had never agreed to this, I know every charity and campaign I have supported over the years so I knew this was a scam. I Imagine if i had been pulled into their scam and talked about which schools, they would then ask me to pay my contribution by asking for my card details.

May go by the name of Andrew Harrison or any other name now but the pictures he’s using is of a brown haired, blue eyed tattooed guy who works as a para. Gives to story of wife died, or girlfriend cheated on him with best friend or that his dad died in the army and left his mother to bring him up.

Recorded voice message of a well spoken elderly gentlemen saying the call was from National Crime Agency, my national insurance number is linked to multiple crimes and I should press 1 to speak to an officer immediately. Clearly a bogus call, I doubt the National Crime Agency would ring from a mobile number. No idea what they are up to but nothing legal I dare say.
I am sure this is a scam, its a Virgin mobile number advising it was from Fedex, "sorry we missed you" and leaving a link for me to re arrange delivery. I think not ...........
I blocked this number and a very similar number (one digit different) after calls from both numbers to my mother. Both callers claimed to be from Clearwater Home Services, calling about the "nuisance calls to your account". A quick search showed a company of this name in the US. Mum doesn't have an account with an organisation of this name. I am guessing that these were amongst a long line of scam calls, claiming Mum has an account that needs to be renewed, card details verified etc.,
