Indications on other sites are that this is Opus credit (aka New Day) and it makes sense since I have an account with them and I missed a payment with them yesterday.

This is an actual real firm's number. But the number has been taken over by some scammer who is contacting random people. Be careful it’s a scamI they send a text saying my new number save it with no name. I text back and asked if they were . Next got a couple of short text about hope your day is better than mine. Then a text asking to send £1500.00 because they needed the money and because number was changed it would take 24 hrs for verification . Promised to pay the money back tomorrow. I said I couldn’t pY any money as I was out and didn’t have details on me.

Received a 39 second audio file via whatsapp from this number on 8.1.23 at 1108 hrs. Nothing played. This was quickly followed by a whatsapp message at 1108 hrs just giving a UK postcode PO17 6HT. Be wary - just incase.

14th Feb 2024 at 1148 - Call claiming that our loft insulation was reaching the end of its warranty life (20 years) and they would like to inspect it - when I told the man that the house was not built 20 years ago and that we did not have a loft, the man rang off immediately.
