SCAM Indian woman pretending to be BT saying that there were multiple unknown IP addresses connected to our internet. Tried to get me to go into the terminal of my computer and started inserting ridiculous stuff. As soon as I asked BT to email me officially and we take it from there, she went silent and hung up.
As with previous comments, I had a call from an Indian gentleman on 002389001076 and had been chosen at random - the UK government does not do this type of thing so I knew it was a scam. Anyway, I had a little time to kill so let him talk on a little whilst doing the crossword, throwing in the odd "yes" and "I see". He then started to explain that I had to ring this number (02032895855) back in order to claim the money. He gave me a code (which I managed to write down correctly on the 5th attempt) and then

I Received a call from this number twice today and when i was able to answer they introduced themselves as Consumer helpline, the lady on the call advised that i had overpaid for finance in 2011 and she wished to help me get this refunded however i have never taken anything out on finance. I asked to submit a subject access request under the Data Protection Act where she then passed me to her manager.
