SCAM This is a call centre saying it is a courtesy call due to an appliances warrantee expiring, on this instance it was a washing machine, so quite believable. They wanted £65 per year for another 3 years full cover. It sounded very genuine until she said that she wanted me to tell her the name and make of my appliance and i said that i was ok and didn't want to renew the warrantee as i'd had it for over 5 years, then they just hung up and the line went dead. They rang, called me by name, claimed to be from Legal & General Domestic Services, said that my washing machine warranty was running out, did I want to renew it. My washing machine is over 20 years out and never had an extended warranty, also I don't have any warranties from Legal & General. When I started asking questions they hung up.

This number is making calls and either being rude to people or hanging up when the call s answered. The number is not an actual UK number, it s being used by someone from overseas as a link for when the call is generated, and so that it can get past the TPS service. Whoever is making the calls using this number should be found and stopped. They are nuisance calls.
