Fraud The usual "Your BT internet and phone has been compromised and will be cut off in 24 hours" even though I'm not with BT. Followed up by wanting to download remote control access programmes on my laptop. I just feigned interest to leave them hanging on as long as possible; whilst they are hanging on waiting for me they aren't scamming somebody else.
The phone rang, but nobody spoke when I picked it up.

SCAM / SPAM This must be a scammer as I had to go to voicemail to find out who it was and it is someone claiming to be from HMRC and asking me to press number keys for more information. This would most likely divert me to another number and leave me open to some kind of fraud. Number now blocked. If it really is HMRC they have my address and email address.

They just phoned my elderly father-in-law on his land line and luckily my husband had just arrived at the house when they phoned. Called from this number by a male voice offering me a free medic alert "which will put your family and loved ones' minds at ease". I told him I would think about it and get back as I have his number. I presume he was wanting me to disclose medical information about myself!

i took the call for someone else on their phone, and asked for more information from the company. Was told it was a personal call, when i could hear it was a call centre. The lady refused to give me any info and she told me thats its okay she will phone on the other number she has, tutted and was rude!
