It's a claim management company trying to bully you into claiming compensation. Despite being told to piss off they keep ringing back.

I have had 3 of these calls recently. What exactly would happen if I called them back please? (I have no intention of doing that however).

Called me twice now with no-one speaking and a click, then phone is dead. Really weird...like they are waiting for an older person to answer so they can con them.....sorry, just really cynical.

Spam call, claiming to be from BT and saying hackers have got into your computer but BT will help you to sort it out. If you say you're not with BT, that doesn't bother them as they just say BT is the overall company and they're just protecting you. 'Annie' hung up when I insisted she was a scammer.

Call received today (7 March 2016), the female caller telling me she wanted to talk about an accident I had in past two and a half years. Claimed there must have been a mistake...

This call was allegedly from HM Customs And Renue threatening with prosecution and arrest if I didn t answer their call.

Called at 17:30, long pause followed by an answering machine, selling windows, glass type I believe, then hung up.

Caller identified himself as Reid from Reactive Media. Said he was calling about an overpayment on a (non-existent) loan between two arbitrary dates. When asked for details he couldn t give any and when pushed further he hung up.

This is a debt collection company. Often long term or aging debt is sold and the purchasing collection agency makes profit by aggressively chasing that debt. They use any data they can get to bug you typically to begin with by using automated dialers and recorded style messages. They do not check the age of the data or if they do they ignore it. Made the mistake of making an enquiry a few months ago which I said I wasn t interested in, and they still continue to phone 5 times a week, even though I have blocked their number and I get a notification every time they try. Take the hint, this is harassment!
