3 calls from this number today (19/09/2018) to my work telephone number. Hangs up immediately I give name of company. Really irritating.
Automated call advising that BT Internet and landline will be disconnected - I haven't had a line from the BT pole outside my house for over 20 years!

Recorded message purportedly from HMRC. Apparently I owe them money ( I don’t by the way). I recently had a similar call from a different number to my landline, also supposedly from HMRC but that one was telling me there was a warrant out for my arrest for non payment of tax! Too ridiculous for words but anyone who is vulnerable could easily be frightened by calls like this.
Rings frequently but leaves no message when I wait for the answerphone before answering in case it s a scam.

This number is one of a number of similar numbers calling one of our staff with a recorded message claiming to wnat to sell PPI , loans and claiming to be linked to Nat West No person ever actually speaks and th UK rules on this type of thing. Advertising Scams. Try to get you to place ads on non existent magazines etc. Pretend to record calls so do not agree to anything. Used to use withheld numbers but now resorting to mobiles to get round call blocking.

Fraud - claiming to be from HMRC and stating a fraud claim has been lodged. Attempts to scare you by saying rejecting the call will automatically issue a warrant.
This number rang me and the guy was forceful and not at all willing to listen.

I don't have an account with HSBC so possible scam/phishing attempt? Whole message as follows: "HSBC: A payment was attempted from a new device. If this was not you, please visit: https://hsbc.security-actions-required.com/"
From BT technical department or so they say "about your internet connection". Our internet isn't even with BT and I said "Is this a scam?" and he hung up!
