WHEN will these B*STARDS GIVE UP?! Had FOUR PHISHING SCAM attempts over a few days All similar numbers-preceded by a scam e mail attempt! They’ve tried EVERY guise/EVERY organisation you can think of under the sun! I REPORT EVERY SINGLE TIME TO COMPANY THEY PRETEND TO BE FROM/ACTION FRAUD AND ICO AND ON ALL THESE FORUMS AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO! Scum as I’m TPS registered and ex directory-JUST WHAT DO ACTION FRAUD/TPS/ICO DO?! They’ve illegally obtained and misused my private details!

Call from this number purporting to come from Microsoft who have detected that my computer has been hacked and wanting me to give them more details and let them into checking my computer to clean it.. All lies of course and I gave no information at all - and I suggest nobody ever should either.

Cold call. Told the woman that she should not be calling as I subscribe to telephone pref service. This objection swept aside. Claimed to be from Microsoft and that my computer has been hacked. Became more forceful as I voiced suspicions. I ended call.

I asked why they hadn't gone through the normal security checks and they said they could confirm my internet line which any competent scammer can do and is not the usual security check I told them I would just change my password and they said it would not stop the problem :) so I said if they were genuine they should send me a letter

My mother-in-law has just found a charge for ?99.99 on her Barclays statement. I ve just spoken to the bank and they have been 100% helpful and have agreed to refund her ASAP. When mum-in-law initialy went into the bank to query the transaction they told her that it was a holiday company and assisted her to call them. Broad Indian accent, difficult to understand but the general gist I got was he wanted my details so he can save me 30-40% off my bill. Had to press for details on what bill he was saving me money on, he stammered and, almost like he was guessing, said my O2 mobile phone bill. Nobody in this house has any O2 devices so be safe - don't give these scumbags any details. Block the number, maybe work out some of your anger by screaming abuse at them as I did.
