Obvious call centre noise background noise as soon as I answered, with a delay before anyone responded. The caller had an extremely strong Asian/Indian accent and told me his name was Paul Simon (yeah, right!) calling from Norfolk County Council about a recent accident I d had. Some called offering to get rid of cold call, automated calls basically every type of call you don t want. For a small fee of ?1.90 per month, they would provide a box to stop the calls. Is it me or shouldn t BT be doing this for free

2 calls from this number today. When you call it, it clicks over to a strange ring tone. Suspect scam, blocked straight away.
Surely to goodness someone, somewhere, has got to put a stop to this. Who is paying for all these claims? Us, in our high insurance costs of course. It is pissing me off, big time. Stop phoning me - I was not hurt, but it is getting to the point where perhaps I should claim just to stop these calls. Two bleeding years I have been fending off these damned nuisance calls.

I had a recorded call saying that they were HMRC and I should press 1 to have the problem resolved. I immediately hung up.

Caller: Yes GEM: Well no thanks as the TV is now at least 7 years old now, (your a bit late). GEM:TAKE ME OFF YOUR DATABASE. This is a TPS registered number, you are not the original seller of the TV or the original supplier of warranty so should not be cold calling this number

Some one who called himself Christian then Steven phoned about my non existent washing machine cover. I've already had an 'Asian' call center annoying me today, so I told 'Christian-Steven' what to do with himself, he seemed to enjoy enraging me and called back twice more. Who pays for these calls?

Wanted £200 to fix, as our Mcafee didn't cover "network". Said we'd call back and given this number. Subsequently checked with Currys who support some of our tech who confirmed it's a scam
