An Asian caller soon transferred me to a guy in Brighton making an illegal call to charge me an extortionate amount for 3 years cover after the warranty has expired on a washing machine that I've never owned. These UK centres should be closed down and fined by our "caring" system.

Some landline from London area, this is definitelly some call centre, there are more similar numbers reported for calling people. Have seen different reasons of individual calls, just be aware that one number used by the same call centre can be after short period of time used for another purpose. I recommend to block the whole 2036342xxx range... Did someone answer THIS number?

SCAM An Asian sounding women offering to renew our kitchen appliance's insurance cover at a discounted price (though it seemed like a hellishly expensive discounted price) and she seemed to have all the relevant details (except my real first name) and was polite until she rang off when I refused to accept her transferring the call to her manager.

I didn't speak to anyone as they hung up when I answered. A subsequent search on the Internet indicated that they were 'ambulance chasers' asking about car accidents.

3rd spam call from an 07771 96.... in same area near whalley….Minimum expected as scam, worst case Fruad. LAst weeks first call was followed by second from another number asking for details of NI number for some National Crime Office investigation. Obvious attempt at hijacking personal data.

An O2 number saying my EE payment failed with a link to update my bank details, reported to EE

'I've heard you've been involved in a car accident...blah blah'

called claiming to be from the insurance firm i have a motor accident claim in progress with. They asked how the accident happened (claiming they wanted to check accuracy of the information they had on file). The number was different to the ones my real insurance company call me from, so i suspect they were looking to offer some compensation claim service.
