This call was preceeded by a call to my 88 year old mother telling her that her landline was going to be cut off. She was worried of course, and I can t help thinking that a follow up call by EE to discuss broadband is suspiciously linked to frightening her into starting a dialogue with them.

SCAM calling apparently about my Amazon account saying I had ordered an iPhone for £699
They rang me in regards to my SIPP with Avalon. I lost out on alot of money when Charles Derby (IFA) moved me over to a personal pension without explaining the risks. This company, think it's called claiming for you or something, are going to put in a claim on my behalf as i have no time to do it myself & are not charging me a fee. They will take a percentage of any money they win back for me.

Got the same call today from an Indian woman called "Jennifer Janet" (like f*ck)stating I had viruses. She would fix them and also upgrade my internet service! (ha ha). I played along with her until she asked me to press certain buttons on my keyboard. I pretended to do so, and when she asked "what message is displayed", that is when I tore into her calling her a scamming Indian ****** and to f*ck off! she hung up! just received a letter from the DWP requesting bank details so they can pay my pension into it instead of the post office.if this is a scam, it's a b****y clever, very convincing one. it was accompanied by a letter in the same post from the post office telling me I could close my card account with them free of penalty, though it's not the type of a/c that incurs penalties. the letter even quotes my national insurance number at the top. very clever of two big organisations to hit the same postal delivery tog

This number keeps ringing. No idea why. My young daughter answered today and didn t catch what the man said, so she said "excuse me?" To which he replied "it s pardon me"!!. When she asked who was calling, he asked who she was. It must have been clear he was talking to a child so this was totally unacceptable! My daughter was quite upset by his rudeness. These cold calls are getting worse and worse!

Again - supposedly the HMRC - I've reported this number to the ICO - if they get enough complaints, they'll act. It takes 2 minutes to do via their website.
