Getting at least one call on my mobile per dayfrom this number. It doesn t ring long enough to get phone out of pocket, so is obviously inviting me to ring back and be billed on the premium number. Getting heartily fed up of it. Have saved it in contacts with Nuisance call as its name, to avoid answering by mistake if it ever rings long enough to do so!

This number is a legitimate business - Home Shield Direct. They sell insurance for various white goods. I have cooker, washing machine and fridge/freezer covered. Had them out to fix all three appliances at various times and service was excellent. So absolutely NOT a scam.

My solution is to leave my BT Aura answering machine on receive, and note my caller display before picking up the phone...... my friends wait to see if I answer, and knowing that all Incoming recorded messages are completely garbled and indecipherable, and that I will use 1471 and ring them back when I m available, they don t waste their time and money trying to leave a message.
