"BT" phoned to say been trying to phone me (received no calls in days) and due to "Suspicious activity" are going to disconnect by Internet unless I talk to an operative, who spent 15 minutes calling my 80 year old father some swear words for his lack of internet knowledge and no online bank account.
Block the number, ignore these charlatans. They are "injury specialists", the same scoundrels responsible for this preposterous "victim" culture of claiming money if you trip over the kerb. I block every one of their numbers once they introduce themselves. I refuse to even talk - I just put the phone down, block the number and get on with what I am doing. Scam number trying to get details from people after sending a fraudulent PayPal money request. They get your phone number at least which they can connect to the phone number you call them on and your name which enables them to clone your identity.

I hung up on first and they called from different location. Claim they are registered, but the compnay was dissolved in 2021, could not provdie website or further ifformation about when they compnay was set up.
This is the Direct Line CLaims Line, they rang me as someone had damaged my car, and they were arranging repairs etc, so genuine number.
