This number (with slight variations on the last three digits) has called four times in less than 24 hours. Did not pick up, did not recognise the number but did find that, although the number comes up as United Kingdom, the number(s) are landline in Pskov, Russia. VERY SUSPICIOUS

A very well spoken man said he was calling from some company (I didn't catch the name) to do with my Scottish Widows life insurance. Claimed to be from Vodafone. Said a SIM swap had been requested and wanted to check this was correct. I said it was not correct. He then said he suspected my account had been hacked and that he would sent an SMS with a code which I had to read to him. The SMS came from Vodafone and had a code with text reading 'this code gives access to your account, do not share it'. The caller was a scammer and wanted access to my account. I hung up.

Received a call from this Dublin number. With an American voice, I was told that I owed money to the HMRC and I had not responded to a letter I had been sent. Clearly a scam.

SCAM Woman with strong foreign accent claimed to be from 'BT technical department' (immediately obvious not genuine) and said they had received notifications that my internet was being used by others fraudulently. Pointed out BT not my provider which she ignored, she then tried to guess some letters from my email to 'send me a verification' and when I said that wasn't my email, accused me of lying!!!! Presumably hoping I'd supply my actual email.

Suspected fraud Automated call saying they are calling from Royal Mail because parcel hasn't been delivered twice as nobody was home and to press button for English or Chinese. Then the same message in Chinese. As I did not press a button, the call ended. (And I am not waiting for a parcel). I am very suspicious, as I never got a call from Royal Mail from a mobile number, they normally leave a notification behind to pick it up yourself.
