Caller with Indian accent said she was calling from "Global Support" because they had identified that my computer was running slowly and they would fix this. She asked me to go to a website www.teamviewer.com. I said I didn t know her so would google this first, before going onto an unknown site. She hung up. No idea if legitimate or not, seems to be some indian call centre trying to persuade me they are from Talk Talk - in fact I have it installed on my computer. Since I was not able to decide if the call is legit I put it down, they didn't call again. I have no problems with my computer...
This guy claimed to be from the Telephone Preference Service but I recognised his voice from 3 calls last week, during the last of which he told me to F*** Off because i called him out. Always a different landline phone number. I know a lot of STD codes as i have worked in (genuine) sales for 40 years. Different codes, different parts of the country, same voice claiming to be from BT Openreach. On this occasion, when he said he was from the TPS and just replied "And?" and he hung up.

They called twice in one week. You always know these people. You answer once, twice and then when you are just about ready to hang up they speak. Lots of back ground noise from their colleagues making more nuisance calls to other poor victims and they ask for you by name but need you to confirm it. You either say they have the wrong number and that person isn t known at this number then hang up or, just say that the line is breaking up and you can t hear them. They get bored really quickly and hang up.

Took ages for them to answer once I d answered the call then on a very bad line asked if I was Miss (First name) (Middle name). I m not a Miss and presumably they know I might not have the same surname they have for me anymore. I m always sceptical of people using my first and middle name so hung up but it didn t sound like his English was very good.
