The website is VERY genuine looking but its NOT HALIFAX and is a phishing site asking you to log in to your account. DO NOT TOUCH !!!

(There is a momentary beep, then a pause whilst the caller is asked by an automated message to state their name which is then recorded. If they do this the phone then rings and the system plays back the caller s name and we have the option to accept, reject or permanently block the caller). Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 2081445xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with accident management services - classical "non fault car accident you had", insurance marketing. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). People did they call you with the same or something new?
Criminals with Indian accent. Telling me they were calling about my car accident. When I asked them how they knew about that (which is untrue) they hung up, obviously going onto the next person to phish for information.

When I asked where they obtained my phone number and disputed that they got it from LinkedIn and mentioned that they have probably broken the law to obtain the number, they informed me that I shouldn't have put my phone number online (which I replied I haven't) and put the phone down on me...
