Fraud Automated call from 07719 095516. Receiving an automated telephone call and was told my National Insurance number has been used fraudulently. My assets were going to be frozen and I was going to be arrested if I didn't press 1 to talk to an officer and supposedly fix the issue. Obviously the criminals would pressure you into handing over personal details to enable them to commit fraud using your credentials and information.
I gave my number in a survey, now I receive lots of calls for a funeral plan.

This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as a scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 08437132xxx range... Did someone answer any number of this range? Don't call them back, it can be very expensive.

Received a call from 01784279719 on 24/08/2017. Asian sounding male asked to talk about my "Windows" PC. So for fun I asked which one? I m an old nerd and have all between Win 3.1 and Win 10, but I did not tell him that! He says "the one running the Windows operating system". It s obvious he is fishing for info! I receive at least one call from this bunch of charlatans every day and have done so for months - I block one number and the next day they call from a different one, all with a Manchester code. Sometimes they are silent calls and sometimes they hangup as soon as I ask them anything. Sometimes I will have 2 or 3 calls after I have told them to stop calling me and have blocked the number (I can see who has called from my log!) This is now harassment and must be illegal as my number is registered with the TPS!
This number seems to be used by some call centre - I can see very similar numbers reported, all the same range just with last digits different. A common thing - telemarketing mostly uses a range of similar numbers. This one is mostly reported with PPI, insurance marketing, RTA - accident chasers, sometimes called themselves "First Call Group" - just another big call centre. Just block it or block the range, I have been using the mobile application from these pages, works fine, no problems. Blocked
