SCAM - Automated call from a Warwickshire number claiming that my Amazon account had been fraudulently used to purchase an Apple iphone 11. I only use it to purchase Kindle ebooks. Don't even be tempted to press 1 out of curiosity you'll either get charged a hefty fee on your landline phone bill, or speak to someone who will put the fear of god into you, convince you this is real, get you to disclose your true card details or even manage to get your internet banking log on details from you!

Immediately thought it was fraudulent but on contacting my bank directly was told this is genuine call from TSB. Advised me to call the number which I did only to be spoken to by someone who I could barely understand. Had yet another call this morning, message left on the landline answering machine. I have asked repeatedly for my number to be removed because they are asking for someone that isn t me. Every time they say they will remove my number, it goes quiet for a few weeks, then starts all over again. I ve had the same number for 16 years and have told them this, but they still keep calling.
